LSI offers screw machining for all kinds of acme screws, ball screws, lead screws, ground screws and screw assemblies.

If you have sent your screw assembly in for repair and our team at determines that it is too damaged or worn to be repaired economically, then a replacement unit will be recommended. It is often more cost effective to replace a unit than to repair it.

New ball screw assemblies can be manufactured either by a customer-supplied print or by a sample unit. All new ball screw assemblies have a one-year warranty.

When applicable, LSI will replace a double nut assembly with a single integrally preloaded ball screw assembly. This will result in a ball nut with a higher load capacity and a shorter assembly length at a reduced cost. Double nut assemblies will only be quoted at the customer's request. Please note that double nut assemblies typically cost 20% more than the single nut design.
